You have to give the movie a lot of credit for being very faithful to the book. It is well balanced between the battle front and the home front. It is the rare movie that wears its spirituality on its sleeve (undoubtedly influenced by Mel Gibson's involvenement). It gives recognition to several real heroes. The only problem is the ending which is an obvious attempt to have a happy ending and is totally made up. It is total B.S.
