This story was written by John Carabatsos who was in vietnam in the 1ts Air Cavalary in 1968-69. He has interwieved soldiers that fought on the hill 937 on 10 of May 1969.

The movie is not just about the fight at Hill 937, which then was called a Hamburger Hill. A 1/3 part of the movie takes place in the camp and shows how was the life there.
